α-Tocopherol is the predominant form of vitamin E in human and animal tissues and also in leaf chloroplasts. It is the major form in supplements. DL-α-Tocopherol acetate is considered as the only storage form of vitamin E. Tocopherol Acetate also known as vitamin E acetate is an ester of acetic acid and tocopherol (vitamin E)

Benefits:

  • Less acidic and longer shelf life than tocopherol itself since the phenolic hydroxyl group is blocked

  • Acts as an antioxidant within the cellular structure, protecting the lipid-rich membranes from damage due to autoxidation

  • Essential for cellular metabolism involving cell respiration and nucleic acid metabolism

  • Inhibitor of platelet aggregation in pigs, preventing blood clot formation
Improves immune function and disease resistance
