Brief Overview:
Sodium sulphate anhydrous is a water-soluble compound used as cost effective substitute to sodium bicarbonate. It is categorized as feed additive and works as salt in animal feed to help digestion process and nutrition absorption process from the intestines into the bloodstream. Sodium sulphate contains 32% of natrium while sodium bicarbonate has 27% of natrium.
Manufacturing Process
The anhydrous sodium sulfate producing process comprises of direct reaction between sodium chloride and concentrated sulfuric acid which includes the following steps: crushing and sieving industry salt; high temperature reaction of salt with concentrated sulfuric acid in the weight ratio of 1 to 0.7 in a reactor to produce sodium sulfate and HCl gas; and cooling and crushing produced sodium sulfate. The technological process is short, can produce high quality product in purity as high as 99-99.3%. It may produce 1.55 ton of 31% concentration hydrochloric acid while producing one ton of sodium sulfate.
Application:
• Feed additive, premix raw material
• Suitable for poultry and ruminants
• To improve digestion in upper digestive tract of poultry
• To improve efficacy of organic acids
• Help improve calcium absorption
